Akash provides strategic guidance and practical solutions to private equity funds, independent sponsors, lenders and other institutional investors to manage risk and achieve successful outcomes in strategic and platform stock and asset acquisitions, dispositions and mergers; growth equity financings; and minority co-investments primarily in the lower middle market.
For more than 25 years, he has cultivated long-standing relationships to establish himself as a trusted advisor, gaining a keen understanding of his clients’ investment theses and goals and developing a reputation for delivering value beyond the billable hour. He has lead diverse deal teams in transactions across a broad array of industries including healthcare, manufacturing, industrial goods, consumer products, technology, food and beverage, software, aerospace, automotive, energy and financial services.
Akash was one of the founding partners of the firm’s Dallas office and served as its initial managing partner overseeing its launch and original growth, including recognition as the fastest-growing law firm in Texas in 2014. In addition, he had the privilege of serving for six years as a board and executive committee member of Mosaic, a Nebraska-based 501(c)(3) providing services to adults with intellectual and development disabilities in more than 750 communities across 12 states.
