Ryan Shacklette is a research associate in McGuireWoods Consulting’s Atlanta office. He supports the firm’s advocacy efforts before the Georgia General Assembly, executive agencies and local governments. He brings robust experience in legislative tracking, stakeholder engagement and political research to help clients navigate Georgia’s evolving policy landscape.

Ryan specializes in data-driven market intelligence to monitor legislative and regulatory trends and support lobbying initiatives. His work spans energy infrastructure and data center development, public safety technology, healthcare, mobility services, and behavioral health—helping clients advance government relations and procurement strategies across Georgia.

Before joining McGuireWoods Consulting in December 2023, Ryan held positions in both the public and private sectors, including work with a national nonpartisan organization supporting state government and the Georgia General Assembly.

Ryan began his career working at multiple global law firms, where he supported high-profile matters and firm intelligence initiatives across key litigation, international arbitration, appellate and public affairs practice groups.

Ryan attended Emory University as a National Merit Scholar and graduated in May of 2019 with a double major in history and music.
