Russ focuses his practice on bankruptcy and financial restructuring matters.
Prior to joining McGuireWoods, Russ served as a law clerk to the Honorable Rosemary Gambardella, U.S. Bankruptcy Judge for the District of New Jersey.
As a law student, he won the 2020 John W. Davis Moot Court Competition and represented indigent clients through the Washington and Lee School of Law Criminal Justice Clinic. Before his legal career, he advised U.S. Senator Tim Kaine on domestic policy issues, served a Member of the Virginia House of Delegates, and worked on political campaigns.
