Houston senior counsel K. Knox “Lighthorse” Nunnally is one of just 25 Texas-based lawyers who made the Texas Lawyer’s 2017 “Lawyers on the Rise” list. Honorees will be recognized at a Sept. 6 awards ceremony in Dallas and featured in the magazine’s September issue.
A leading business and securities litigator, Nunnally two years ago was invited to become a fellow in the Texas Bar Foundation, an honor accorded to just 0.3 percent of State Bar of Texas members. The foundation supports nonprofit groups in a range of justice-related programs and services.
Nunnally focuses his practice on energy and securities litigation. Before joining McGuireWoods, he was an assistant district attorney in Houston. He is a Naval Academy graduate and a decorated former U.S. Marine captain who served as an infantry and light armored reconnaissance officer during three deployments in Iraq. He graduated from the University of Texas School of Law in 2009.
