The Bond Buyer quoted the McGuireWoods partners in its coverage of the ransomware attack that disabled ImageMaster’s MuniOS electronic platform for several days. Market participants use MuniOS to publish bond offering documents and online investment roadshows for thousands on municipal bond deals.
Horevay discussed how bond issuers with active deals had to determine where they could publish their offering documents and investor presentations online while MuniOS recovered from the attack.
Bruno, co-leader of McGuireWoods’ Public Finance Practice Group, noted that such attacks could happen to anyone, “so you have to be vigilant and have your safeguards in place.”
