Law360, Bloomberg Law, Pulse 2.0, Lawdragon, Global Legal Chronicle, LawFuel and Commercial Dispute Resolution reported the news that commercial litigation partners Jeff Golimowski and Jeremy Baker joined McGuireWoods in Tysons, Virginia.
Golimowski and Baker have a wealth of experience advising clients in post-acquisition disputes, construction litigation and government contracts matters.
“McGuireWoods is such a great fit for my practice — we have an incredibly deep well of expertise to draw on, honed over thousands of private equity and private credit transactions and disputes, to advise our clients as to what battles they should pick and how to win them,” Golimowski told Law360 in its Aug. 20, 2026, story.
Baker added: “Across the McGuireWoods platform, my partners and I have broad and deep knowledge of how each change may affect our clients’ business. It lets us give immediate, cogent advice they need to address such a dynamic environment and protect their interests if and when disputes arise.”
Golimowski told Law360 that private equity and private credit facilities are holding their acquisitions longer than usual in today’s market. Against that backdrop, his clients are “more willing to fight for what they bargained for” because slower divestiture makes “near-term returns from operating acquisitions that much more important,” he explained.
Bloomberg Law’s Wake Up Call column and Law360’s weekly Beltway Moves roundup also noted Golimowski’s and Baker’s arrival.
