Jonathan T. Blank, a partner at McGuireWoods LLP and managing partner of the firm’s Charlottesville office, has been appointed by Gov. Timothy Kaine (D) to serve on the Virginia Board of Corrections.
Blank, an energy and commercial litigation partner with the firm, is one of nine members of the board selected to serve four-year terms and advise the Department of Corrections on various matters, including polices and standards. Blank attended his first meeting of the board earlier this week in Richmond. Earlier this year, he completed his term as a member of the Virginia Motor Vehicle Dealer Board after being appointed by Gov. Mark Warner (D) in 2005.
