McGuireWoods Announces Atlanta Expansion

February 17, 2011

McGuireWoods LLP announced today that the firm is expanding its Atlanta operations and moving its offices to a new location in the Promenade building at Peachtree and 15th Streets in midtown Atlanta. McGuireWoods will occupy two floors of the 40-story building, with options to build out additional space as the firm continues to grow.

Renovation of the new space will begin immediately, and the firm hopes to move sometime in May, according to Atlanta Office Managing Partner Bill Marianes. “As we have grown in Atlanta, so have the needs of our clients.” said Marianes. “This move will give us additional office and meeting space and an upgraded technology platform to better serve our clients.”

The Atlanta office of McGuireWoods has 47 attorneys, and includes a 5-member team from the firm’s McGuireWoods Consulting subsidiary, as well as 5 paralegals and 24 staff. The firm’s Atlanta office represents a wide range of national and international clients, including those in the fields of finance, mergers and acquisitions, labor and employment, commercial litigation, intellectual property and products liability litigation, bankruptcy, real estate, health care, tax and environmental law. This office also plays a strong role in the firm’s diversity and pro bono efforts.
