McGuireWoods London LLP announced today that it represented Swedish company MJP Waterjets AB in its acquisition of Ultra Dynamics companies in Cheltenham, UK, and Columbus, Ohio, USA. The transaction positions the combined company as one of the leading providers of water jets and a range of complementary products.
MJP Waterjets is known as a leading supplier of stainless steel mixed flow water jets, and with Ultra Dynamics’ noted reputation as a leading supplier of aluminum axial flow water jets, this deal will enhance the combined company’s position in the marine market, including military and customers in the offshore energy, recreation, fishing and shipping industries.
Anders Björe, CEO of MJP Waterjets Holding, said, “I’m pleased and excited to join this new company, a union of two highly renowned water jet suppliers. By building on both companies’ strengths, together with the perfect product match, I’m convinced the combination of MJP Waterjets and Ultra Dynamics will deliver enhanced value to our existing and new customers.”
“We are delighted to have been a part of this deal, which will undoubtedly strengthen innovation in the marine industry,” added Jura Junnila, a partner in McGuireWoods’ London office who served as lead counsel to MJP Waterjets and Verdane in the cross-border transaction.
