Matthew C. Kane and Sabrina A. Beldner, partners in McGuireWoods’ Century City and San Francisco offices, are recognized as top Up and Comers on Lawdragon’s “100 Most Powerful Employment Attorneys” list published June 16 in Human Resource Executive magazine.
Kane, chosen for the Lawdragon list for the sixth year in a row, represents businesses across industries in employment-related claims, wage-and-hour class actions and collective actions, misappropriation of trade secrets and noncompetition agreement claims, and labor-management relations issues, as well as in general commercial litigation. He was the California recipient of the 2017 Client Choice Award in the Litigation category, an honor recognizing one lawyer per practice per state for outstanding client service based on feedback from senior corporate counsel.
Beldner represents employers across a variety of industries in employment-related individual, class and collective claims and traditional labor law matters. She advises management on day-to-day employment issues, conducts management training on preventing workplace harassment, discrimination and retaliation, and is sought out by media for interviews and analysis of those issues. She is a member of the firm’s Recruiting and Finance Committees, and was named to the inaugural class of the Top 40 Lawyers Under 40 by the National Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Bar Association.
