September 14, 2023

McGuireWoods Chicago partners Amy Manning and Angelo Russo have again been recognized among Lawdragon’s 500 Leading Litigators in America. The annual guide honors attorneys who excel representing corporations and other organizations in litigating claims involving antitrust, securities, financial, M&A, intellectual property and patents, product liability, mass tort, white collar, government investigations and energy disputes.

Manning leads McGuireWoods’ antitrust practice group and she formerly chaired the firm’s Antitrust, Trade & Commercial Litigation Department. She handles criminal and civil antitrust matters for international and U.S. companies, as well as individuals, throughout the United States.

Manning chairs the ABA Antitrust Section Long Range Diversity Planning Committee. She served as vice chair of the 2020 and 2022 ABA Antitrust Section International Cartel Workshops, recognized globally as the premier international cartel conference, and will be vice chair again in 2024. She co-founded the Chicago Women Antitrust Lawyers Network — the first professional networking group for women antitrust lawyers in the area. Manning serves on McGuireWoods’ executive committee and board of partners.

Russo represents individuals and international and domestic companies in criminal antitrust investigations and civil antitrust litigation. He regularly counsels clients on various antitrust issues and assists with internal investigations and audits to assess compliance with the antitrust laws. Russo has held several leadership positions within the ABA Antitrust Law Section and he serves on Law360’s editorial advisory board on competition law. He also leads McGuireWoods’ national recruiting committee.

McGuireWoods’ global team of antitrust and competition lawyers handles civil antitrust disputes, criminal cartel investigations and transactions clearance, and counsels on business and compliance issues and international competition laws. The firm earned two nationwide rankings for antitrust litigation in the 2023 edition of The Legal 500 United States, the respected independent guide to the country’s top firms and lawyers. The firm also received recognition for antitrust litigation in the 2023 edition of Chambers USA.
