The American Bar Association’s Antitrust Law Section has named McGuireWoods partner Amy Manning to its “Hall of Fame-inism,” the section’s highest tribute to trailblazers who have dedicated themselves to advancing and championing women in the antitrust, consumer protection and data privacy fields.
Manning is one of four inductees in the 2026 class. The group will be honored Sept. 15, 2026, at a reception in New York City.
“Throughout my career, I have been fortunate to work with incredible lawyers in antitrust law who have inspired and supported me,” Manning said. “This award is extremely meaningful and I am especially grateful to be among the other people who have received this award. I also am grateful that McGuireWoods shares a commitment to developing and advancing women leaders.”
Manning co-leads McGuireWoods’ Antitrust & Trade Regulation Practice Group and is former chair of the firm’s Antitrust, Trade & Commercial Litigation Department. She is an active member of the American Bar Association Antitrust Section, where she has served as an officer and member of the governing Council. She also co-founded the Chicago Women Antitrust Lawyers Network — the first professional networking group for women antitrust lawyers in the Chicago area — to share advice on advancement and enhance members’ contact with heavy-hitters in the legal industry.
Manning handles criminal and civil antitrust matters for international and U.S. companies, as well as individuals, in federal and state courts and arbitration tribunals throughout the United States. Her cases involve alleged international cartels, price fixing, market allocation, bid rigging, tying arrangements, bundling, monopolization, attempted monopolization and Robinson-Patman Act claims. Manning represents clients in antitrust cases before the Antitrust Division of the Department of Justice and the Federal Trade Commission and has secured victories at a federal appeals court and, as part of a McGuireWoods team, the U.S. Supreme Court.
Manning serves on McGuireWoods’ executive committee and is a former managing partner of the firm’s Chicago office. Among her many honors, Manning was a recipient of Corporate Counsel magazine’s 2023 Women, Influence & Power in Law Awards recognizing accomplished women attorneys at law firms and in-house legal departments across the country. She has a Band 1 ranking in the Chambers USA guide of America’s leading lawyers and is recognized in Lawdragon’s “500 Leading Global Antitrust & Competition Lawyers.”
