Athina is an Associate in McGuireWoods’ London office, where she advises financial institutions and corporate clients on a range of debt financing, corporate and commercial matters. Her experience includes advising on finance and corporate transactions, including loan transactions, mergers and acquisitions, as well as general commercial law matters.
She graduated from Queen Mary University of London and went on to earn her SQE LLM with Merit from BPP University, Holborn.

- Assisted in negotiation and drafting of loan transaction documentation on behalf of lenders and borrowers.
- Assisted in the case management of bilateral and syndicate finance deals and the drafting of related security documentation and ancillaries.
- Worked on corporate transactions from initial due diligence stages through to closing and post-closing requirements.
Commercial Litigation
- Assisted in claimant-side trial preparation for high value aviation insurance commercial proceedings in the High Court.
- Assisted in defendant-side trial preparation for emissions-related group litigation commercial proceedings in the High Court
