Cate is a conflicts attorney in the firm’s Office of the General Counsel.
Prior to joining McGuireWoods, Cate was staff counsel at a national insurance defense firm. She was also a conflicts attorney at an Am Law 20 firm for several years.
Cate is a past executive director of The Council of Probate Court Judges of Georgia, and was a lobbyist for Georgia’s Administrative Office of the Courts.
She earned her law degree from Georgia State University College of Law, where she served on the editorial board of the Law Review and the Jessup International Moot Court team.
