Maura focuses her practice on government contracts and government investigation matters.

Before joining McGuireWoods, Maura clerked at the U.S. Court of Federal Claims and gained civil litigation experience, namely with bid protests. Maura received her law degree from The George Washington University Law School, with a concentration in Government Procurement.

While at The George Washington University Law School, Maura served as the editor-in-chief for the Public Contract Law Journal and as a Dean’s Fellow in the Fundamentals of Lawyering Program teaching research and writing. She externed at the U.S. Court of Federal Claims and the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia. Maura was awarded the Roger N. Boyd Scholarship for her service to the Public Contract Law Journal.

Prior to law school, Maura received her B.A. in Political Science from the University of Notre Dame, magna cum laude.

  • Successfully represented a government contractor at the GAO in connection with two pre-award bid-protests related to the solicitation requirements, resulting in the Government taking corrective action.
  • Represented multiple private equity firms in connection with their due diligence of government contractors in support of an acquisition.
  • Assisted in the adjudication of a civil-only docket, including bid protest cases.
