Elizabeth focuses her practice on defending financial institutions in high stakes litigation, with particular experience in consumer class actions and complex civil matters involving mortgage servicing, credit reporting, and consumer finance statutes. Her work spans claims under the Federal Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), Truth in Lending Act (TILA), Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA), and Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA).
Elizabeth earned her JD from William & Mary Law School, where she graduated cum laude. Before joining the firm, Elizabeth served as a law clerk at the North Carolina Court of Appeals, where she gained valuable insight into judicial decision making and appellate advocacy.
Elizabeth has extensive experience in all stages of litigation. She regularly drafts dispositive and appellate briefs, takes and defends depositions of fact witnesses and corporate representatives, argues motions in both state and federal court, responds to written discovery requests, and manages e-discovery productions. She also has experience working with expert witnesses, including preparing and defending expert depositions.
Elizabeth brings a detail-oriented and strategic approach to her practice, defending some of the country’s largest financial institutions in high-stakes litigation.
