Charles regularly represents lenders and borrowers in domestic and cross-border secured loan transactions, including senior debt financing (asset-based and cash flow) as well as mezzanine and second lien loans.

He has extensive experience in all aspects of aircraft finance, sales and leasing, representing both lenders and sellers. He also represents lenders in various structured finance transactions. In addition, Charles has experience with corporate transactions, including private placements of equity securities and cross-border acquisitions.

Since joining the Chicago legal community, Charles has acted as a mentor in the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity Law School Mentoring Program.

At Cornell University Law School, Charles was recognized with the CALI Excellence for the Future Award for the Study of American Indian Law.
