James serves high-net-worth individuals and families in their complex tax, estate planning, charitable giving, and trust and estate administration matters. James also assists fiduciaries and beneficiaries in navigating trust and estate administration and disputes.
James received his law degree from Washington and Lee University School of Law, graduating magna cum laude and earning the James W. H. Stewart Tax Law Award for excellence in the study of tax law. While at W&L, James worked in the school’s Tax Clinic, helping under-resourced individuals navigate tax controversies. Prior to law school, James received a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Pennsylvania.
