Wendy focuses her practice on the healthcare industry. She regularly assists clients with mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate healthcare transactional work, and regulatory matters.
She has experience negotiating and drafting transaction documents and counseling clients with regard to the legal aspects of day-to-day operations, including general corporate matters. She advises clients on compliance with federal and state healthcare laws, including the federal Anti-Kickback Statute and Stark Law, corporate practice of medicine and fee-splitting prohibitions, Medicare coverage and payment rules, and state licensure requirements. She also assists clients with the negotiation and drafting of clinical trial agreements, compliance plan development, contract reviews, and self-disclosures under the self-referral disclosure protocol.
Representative clients include academic medical centers, hospitals, physician groups, physician practice management organizations, dental practices, dental service organizations, and home health facilities.
