Jeff focuses his practice on advising private equity funds, venture capital funds and other institutional investors and strategic acquirers in connection with mergers and acquisitions, early- and late-stage investments, leveraged buyouts, recapitalizations, management buyouts and secondary transactions.
Jeff also provides outside general counsel to private companies, assisting with their debt and equity financings, commercial agreements, corporate governance and compliance, and employment and equity incentive matters.
Jeff handles transactions in a variety of industries, including financial services, software, healthcare, retail, manufacturing, energy and aerospace.
Prior to joining McGuireWoods, Jeff was an associate at large law firms in Boston and New York. While working at a previous firm, Jeff also completed a secondment in the in-house legal department at Goldman, Sachs & Co. in New York.
