Jonathan is Department Chair for the firm’s Business and Securities Litigation Department, former office managing partner of the firm’s Charlottesville office, and former co-chair of the firm’s Oil and Gas team. He is a problem solving American College of Trial Lawyer Fellow who focuses on energy law.

His energy law experience includes wind, solar, biomass, natural gas mineral rights, royalty, transportation, construction, consumer protection, antitrust, fraud and other complex litigation. He has tried dozens of bench and jury trials, and has appeared in district, circuit and federal courts, as well as in AAA arbitrations. He has been reported in cases in the Virginia Supreme Court, the 4th Circuit Court of Appeals, and one in the U.S. Supreme Court. Jonathan has litigated cases in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Ohio, Maryland and Virginia. He is an A/V rated attorney by Martindale Hubbell.

While earning his law degree from the University of Virginia, Jonathan was honored as a member of the Raven and IMP Societies.
