Annual Charlotte Ethics Program, Conflicts of Interest – A Practical Roadmap

November 12, 2020

Complimentary Webinar

12 – 2:30 p.m. (ET)

We are seeking 2 hours of ethics MCLE credits for this program.

McGuireWoods invites you and your colleagues to attend Tom Spahn’s annual ethics program which will be held as a webinar this year, replacing the in-person fall program typically held in Charlotte. The two-hour interactive webinar uses hypotheticals to explore basic conflict-of-interest rules.

  • The prohibition on adversity to current clients (including definitions of “client” and “adversity”)
  • Rules governing adversity to former clients (including the “substantial relationship” standard and “hot potato” rule)
  • Consents (including prospective consents)
  • Disqualification motions’ standards, process and effects

This webinar will be recorded.

Login details will be sent to registrants before the event.
