On Jan. 22, 2025, President Donald Trump issued a new executive order, revoking Executive Order 11246 regarding federal affirmative action. The order also went further and directed EEOC, DOL, DOE and other federal agencies to target certain diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) practices with the goal of ending asserted “illegal discrimination and preferences.”
