The industry publication Healthcare Dive quoted McGuireWoods Chicago associate Timothy Fry in a May 26, 2020, story on how the federal government has distributed pandemic relief funding to for-profit hospitals.
Certain for-profit hospitals have received $2.2 billion in grants through the $175 billion provider relief fund created by the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act and the Paycheck Protection Program and Health Care Enhancement Act, the publication reported. Fry addressed uncertainty among some providers over how those funds can be spent.
“The industry is complicated and certainly people have struggled to know exactly what they should do,” he said.
Fry and members of the firm’s healthcare practice have provided detailed analysis of provider relief funding in alerts and videos found on McGuireWoods’ Coronavirus: Impact and Insight page.
