A team of lawyers from the firm’s Brussels office represented London-based DN Capital, Berlin-based Global Founders Capital and Amsterdam-based Piton Capital with a €6 million Series A Investment Round in startup company Take Eat Easy.
The company is one of the fastest-growing Belgian startups specializing in online food ordering and home delivery of dishes from quality restaurants, using a proprietary algorithm and an ingredient-graph, ranking the dishes according to the taste profile of each user. Founded in 2013 with services provided in Brussels, it has already expanded its activities to Paris and intends to use the proceeds of the investment in other major cities in neighboring countries. What makes this service unique is that all home deliveries are made by bicycle couriers.
McGuireWoods partner Timothy Speelman led the investment negotiations on behalf of the investors, with assistance from associate Vincent Jodard.
