For the first half of 2015, McGuireWoods ranked third in number of deals and sixth in dollar volume in Thomson Reuters Loan Pricing Corp.’s U.S. Lender Law Firm League Tables for its representation of lead arrangers and bookrunners in syndicated debt financings. The firm recorded 66 transactions valued at more than $50.9 billion in the first six months of the year, more than doubling its first-quarter numbers in the league tables that debt finance professionals consider definitive.
McGuireWoods recorded 41 syndicated debt deals valued at $29.6 billion in the second quarter of 2015. The firm closed 25 transactions valued at $21.3 billion in the first three months of the year.
“These authoritative rankings are a testament to our significant work in the syndicated debt finance market,” said Raj Natarajan, chair of the firm’s debt finance practice.
On top of the 66 deals tracked by the league tables, McGuireWoods’ debt finance team closed an additional 119 bilateral and club transactions in the first half of the year, including mezzanine debt, first lien/second lien facilities, leveraged buyout financings, equipment leasing, project finance, and asset-based credits.
With more than 75 syndicated finance and asset-based lending lawyers in its Atlanta, Baltimore, Charlotte, Chicago, London, Los Angeles, New York, Richmond and Tysons Corner offices, McGuireWoods continues to expand its representation of financial institutions and banking clients.
