Laura Bentley, a McGuireWoods debt finance associate in Atlanta, will join Delta Air Lines on Aug. 9, 2021, as senior corporate counsel. In this role, she will negotiate and manage corporate finance contracts, including credit and security agreements. Her last day at the firm is July 16.
Since joining McGuireWoods in June 2016, Bentley has focused her practice on commercial finance transactions including asset-based lending and cash flow transactions in single-bank, club and syndicated deals. She was named an “Associate to Watch” in banking and finance law in the 2021 edition of the prestigious Chambers USA guide. Bentley’s pro bono work includes counseling clients on housing matters through the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation Saturday Lawyer Program.
“During my time at McGuireWoods, I’ve had the opportunity to learn from the most exceptional attorneys in my field and I am very appreciative of the professional support and mentorship I’ve received while at the firm,” Bentley said. “I look forward to continuing my relationships with my friends and colleagues at McGuireWoods after my departure.”
“Laura has been a valuable member of our department for the past five years and she will be missed,” said Raj Natarajan, chair of McGuireWoods’ Debt Finance Department. “She has shown terrific work ethic and her command of complex matters will serve her well in her new role.”
