McGuireWoods achieved a nationwide ranking for its commercial real estate capabilities and London partners Callum Hassall, Daniel L. Peyton and Francesca Titus earned individual recognition in Chambers UK 2026, the authoritative guide to top lawyers and law firms in the United Kingdom.
Chambers UK awarded the firm a nationwide ranking for representing real estate clients in matters valued at £50-150 million. McGuireWoods’ London real estate team advises a range of market participants, including corporate occupiers, domestic and international investors, developers, landlords and tenants, and lenders. The team, which includes Hassall and associates Hannah Irish and Rend Beresford, delivers a full-service offering across the commercial real estate spectrum.
Clients quoted in the Chambers UK guide praised the team for its legal acumen, market knowledge and forward-thinking approach.
“The team sought not only to focus on the task at hand but to think about implications further down the line to protect their clients’ best interests,” a client said.
Hassall was recognized for representing clients in commercial real estate transactions across a range of property types, including retirement living and care homes; industrial, manufacturing and logistics facilities; hotels; offices; and large-scale mixed-use development projects.
“Callum is truly one of the most exceptional resources I’ve had the pleasure of working with,” a client said. “His meticulous attention to detail, knowledge of the subject matter and swift responsiveness set him apart.”
Peyton, managing partner of the firm’s London office, was ranked for the 10th time by Chambers UK for representing employers. He counsels clients in high-value, contentious employment matters, including whistleblowing, discrimination, restraint of trade and confidential information disputes, and board-level terminations.
“Daniel is a rare find in the legal space,” a client said. “He is approachable, commercial and pragmatic. We value his advice and support.”
Chambers UK recognized Titus in the Financial Crimes: Individuals Category. Titus represents companies and individuals in high-value, multijurisdictional white collar crime litigation. She advises business leaders in investigations or prosecutions conducted by the UK Serious Fraud Office, His Majesty’s Revenue and Customs, the Financial Conduct Authority, the National Crime Agency and the Crown Prosecution Service.
In addition to the Chambers UK rankings, McGuireWoods was recognized as a leading law firm in five practice areas in the 2026 edition of the Legal 500 United Kingdom guide.
