Amy Manning, Angelo Russo Selected for Lawdragon’s Leading Global Antitrust & Competition Lawyers

February 27, 2026

Lawdragon has chosen McGuireWoods Chicago partners Amy Manning and Angelo Russo for the publication’s “500 Leading Global Antitrust & Competition Lawyers.” The rankings honor “advisors who negotiate deals that pass regulatory scrutiny, battle for consumers as well as companies in massive competition contests and navigate the frameworks of numerous countries and markets for global forces.”

Manning, selected for her work in antitrust and complex commercial litigation, co-leads McGuireWoods’ Antitrust & Trade Regulation Practice Group and is a former chair of the firm’s Antitrust, Trade & Commercial Litigation Department. She serves on the firm’s executive committee.

She handles criminal and civil antitrust matters for international and U.S. companies, as well as individuals, in federal and state courts and arbitration tribunals throughout the United States. Her cases involve alleged international cartels, price fixing, market allocation, bid rigging, tying arrangements, bundling, monopolization, attempted monopolization and Robinson-Patman Act claims. Manning represents clients in antitrust cases before the Antitrust Division of the Department of Justice and the Federal Trade Commission and has secured victories at a federal appeals court, and, as part of a McGuireWoods team, the U.S. Supreme Court.

Manning is an active member of the American Bar Association Antitrust Section, for which she has served as vice chair and currently serves as program officer. She also co-founded the Chicago Women Antitrust Lawyers Network.

Russo, chosen for his work on antitrust investigations and litigation, has successfully defended clients against antitrust enforcement actions, secured non-prosecution agreements and leniency protection, and obtained favorable outcomes in competitor-on-competitor litigation. His practice also includes assisting clients with internal investigations, antitrust compliance programs and internal audits to assess compliance with the antitrust laws.

Russo has held several leadership positions within the ABA Antitrust Law Section, and he is a vice chair of the Exemptions & Immunities Committee. He has experience representing clients before the U.S. Department of Justice, the Federal Trade Commission and state attorneys general.

“Amy and Angelo are outstanding lawyers and leaders,” said Noreen Kelly, McGuireWoods’ deputy managing partner for litigation. “Their experience and strategic insight are valued by clients navigating complex competition matters. We are proud that they are recognized year after year for their exceptional skill and dedication.”

Manning and Russo have been recognized multiple times in Lawdragon’s 500 Leading Litigators in America guide and in the Chambers USA guide of America’s leading lawyers for business.
