Adam Penman Associate

Adam is an associate in the firm’s Labor and Employment Department.

He works on both contentious and non-contentious employment matters and has experience in employee benefits and incentives work and data protection.

Experience

Advised employers on employment status of atypical individuals and the associated rights and obligations.

Provided strategic advice to and representation of a UK registered care provider in relation to a TUPE transfer of employment, effecting over 1,500 employees.

Advised international clients on UK securities law and tax consequences in relation to employee based incentive schemes.

Conducted due diligence exercises on asset and share sales (including public takeovers), acting for both buyer and seller in relation to employees, particular the impact on incentive schemes.

Advised on apportionment of holiday pay under the Working Time Regulations to protect employers from back-dated holiday pay claims and advised on the risks of liability and potential quantum.
