Law360, the New York Law Journal, Bloomberg Law and International Employment Lawyer were among the national and global media outlets that reported on the arrival of Andrew Skowronski, who joined McGuireWoods’ Employee Benefits Practice Group as a partner in New York.
Skowronski counsels clients on benefits and executive compensation arrangements associated with corporate transactions and ongoing company operations. He assists in designing and implementing equity-based, phantom equity, and cash-based incentives and deferred compensation plans, as well as employment, retention and severance agreements.
In Law360’s June 9, 2025, story, Skowronski said that he came to McGuireWoods because the firm “has an exceptional M&A and private equity platform and is really a leader in the middle market private equity space, which is a major focus of my practice.”
He added that one of the things he’s most excited about in his new role is that McGuireWoods has a full-service benefits practice group that handles executive compensation, health and welfare, and retirement plan matters, in an advisory capacity and for mergers and acquisitions.
