McGuireWoods Charlotte associate Lexie Siegel will join the U.S. District Court for the Western District of North Carolina as a law clerk to Chief Judge Martin Reidinger. Her last day at the firm is July 17, 2026, and she will begin her new role on July 27.
In this role, Lexie will help support the day-to-day operations of the judge’s chambers and assist with court proceedings and various types of legal matters.
Lexie, who focuses her practice on financial services litigation, joined McGuireWoods as an associate in September 2025 and was a summer associate during the summers of 2023 and 2024. She graduated with high honors from the University of North Carolina School of Law and, as a Chancellor’s Scholar, was recognized for her outstanding achievements in academics, leadership and community service. She also served as an articles editor for the North Carolina Law Review and was elected to the Order of the Coif.
“I am grateful to have begun my legal career at McGuireWoods, where I have had the privilege of learning from such supportive and talented colleagues,” Lexie said.
“This prestigious clerkship is a testament to Lexie’s talent and professionalism, and we have no doubt she will thrive in this role,” said Mark Kinghorn, chair of McGuireWoods’ Financial Services and Securities Enforcement Department. “We look forward to welcoming her back to private practice in the future and congratulate her on this well-deserved opportunity.”
