Jasmine is a high-stakes litigator who represents business clients nationwide in federal and state court and arbitrations. She has extensive experience litigating contract disputes, business torts, and defending against claims alleging racial discrimination, violations of the Electronic Funds Transfer Act, and other consumer protection statutes in class actions and multidistrict litigation.

Jasmine’s expertise spans various industries, including financial services, construction, trucking, and healthcare. Jasmine is a 2025 Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) Fellow, Charlotte office Family Leave Liaison, and 7-year member of the Charlotte Recruiting Committee.

She received her undergraduate degree from Old Dominion University, where she graduated in the top 1% of her class. While at Wake Forest University School of Law, Jasmine earned CALI awards for the highest grade in Legal Analysis, Writing, and Research; Trial Practice; Child Advocacy Clinic; Decedents’ Estates and Trusts; and Secured Transactions. She also served as captain of the AAJ Trial Team.

Experience

  • Defense of a major financial institution in federal court in a nationwide putative class action stemming from the financial institution’s assessment of non-sufficient fund (NSF) and overdraft (OD) fees involving claims for breach of contract, breach of the implied covenant of good faith and fair dealing, conversion, unjust enrichment, and violation of 4 state consumer protection statutes. Successfully secured dismissal of plaintiffs’ claims for conversion, unjust enrichment, breach of the implied covenant of good faith and fair dealing and for violations of 2 state consumer protection statutes.
  • First chair representation of a major financial institution in arbitration where plaintiff sought $1.9 million in damages and asserted claims for violation of North Carolina’s Unfair and Deceptive Trade Practice’s Act, conversion, and unjust enrichment.
  • Represented transportation company in $40 million dispute in state court involving claims for breach of contract and breach of the implied covenant of good faith and fair dealing.
  • Successfully defended hospital in state court putative class action arising from its assessment of emergency department fees when faced with claims for breach of contract and injunctive relief. Secured dismissal of all claims against the hospital by the trial court, a decision the appeals court subsequently affirmed.
  • Represents Fortune 50 company in pre-litigation and litigation disputes involving allegations of violations of state and federal race discrimination statutes.
