Cort is a fund formation attorney representing investment managers and other sponsors in the formation, structuring and operation of private funds and related products. Cort also assists clients with secondary offerings, continuation transactions and other tailored investment structures. In addition, Cort represents institutional investors consummating investments in private funds and similar investment products.
Cort received his undergraduate degree from the United States Military Academy at West Point and his J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School. Cort retired from the U.S. Army in 2022, where he served in multiple capacities as both an enlisted soldier and commissioned officer.
