Doug is a member of the firm’s Financial Services and Securities Enforcement Department. Prior to joining McGuireWoods, Doug clerked on both the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida and the Montana Supreme Court, where he gained meaningful experience in motions practice, case management, and conducting in-depth legal analysis.

During law school, Doug served as the managing editor for the George Mason Law Review. He was also on the law school’s national moot court team, finishing as a finalist in the American Bar Association’s National Appellate Advocacy Competition. Additionally, Doug completed internships on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina, and the Supreme Court of Maryland.
