National legal media outlets — including Law360, The National Law Journal, Bloomberg Law, Corporate Counsel Business Journal and The Daily Docket — covered the arrival of new McGuireWoods partner Jack White. He joined the Government Investigations & White Collar Litigation Department in the firm’s Tysons, Virginia, and Washington, D.C., offices.
White, an accomplished trial lawyer and legal strategist, handles civil litigation, regulatory enforcement and congressional investigations for clients in the defense, technology, federal contracting and other business sectors. He represents clients in complex litigation, investigations and enforcement matters, including congressional investigations. He also conducts internal investigations and counsels on matters pertaining to diversity, equity and inclusion.
He graduated from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and served on active duty in the U.S. Army. White — a former law clerk for U.S. Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito after first clerking for him at the 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals — is one of 11 former high court clerks at McGuireWoods.
White told Law360 he was impressed with the outstanding legal professionals he met at McGuireWoods while running for Virginia attorney general last year.
“I saw in those professionals a dedication to excellence, integrity and collegiality that is consistent with the values I have sought to embrace for the benefit of my clients,” he said. “I determined that I could best serve my clients in this environment.”
