Due to COVID-19, Most Pennsylvania Businesses Ordered to Cease Operations

March 20, 2020

On March 19, 2020, Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf issued an emergency order requiring all non-life-sustaining businesses in the commonwealth to cease operations, effective 8 p.m. that same day. Enforcement actions will begin March 21, 2020, at 12:01 a.m.

Other states are expected to follow Pennsylvania’s lead and issue similar orders.
