McGuireWoods Names New Office Leaders in Dallas and Austin

McGuireWoods has appointed new office managing professionals in Dallas and Austin, continuing its practice of rotating key leadership positions.

In Dallas, Justin Opitz succeeds Jason Cook as office managing professional, and in Austin, D. Brennen Keene succeeds Holly Deshields.

Opitz focuses on complex commercial and business litigation. He advises banking institutions, corporations and individuals in state and federal courts nationwide, representing Fortune 100 companies and other businesses in class actions and cases involving torts, contract disputes, fiduciary and financial services, and property disputes.

Keene is a real estate and project development lawyer who co-leads the firm’s Renewable Energy Practice Group. He advises developers, infrastructure funds, energy companies and utilities, and real estate companies on transactional, land-use, and permitting matters, with a focus on conventional and renewable energy projects, data centers, and industrial and commercial developments. “We are grateful to Jason and Holly for their leadership in our Dallas and Austin offices,” said managing partner J. Tracy Walker IV. “Justin and Brennen have incredible energy and will play important roles as we continue expanding our capabilities in Texas.”
